The Role 

​

We are currently seeking a fire and security engineer with experience in fire systems, emergency lights, intruder alarms, CCTV systems and access control systems. Knowledge of gates and barriers would be beneficial but not essential. The ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiative to NSI and BAFE industry standards. The package is commensurate with experience, knowledge base and qualifications. Overtime is frequently available for which additional payments will be made.

Basic hours are 40hrs per week,

Tasks

​

• Carry out installations to industry standards, NSI and BAFE.

• Carry out system commissioning and handovers to customers.

• Carry out fault findings on systems.

• Carry out system maintenance 

• Meet predefined target times for installation.

• Clear and concise communication with the supervisors regarding customer issues.

• Electronic reporting and use of customer portals.

• Effective control of stock & vehicle audit.

• Awareness of Health & Safety.

• To present a professional appearance.

• on call rota

The Candidate

​

• Understanding of BS5839:1, 

• Experience of BAFE SP203-1 and all NSI standards.

• Previous experience is necessary.

• Must have full UK driving licence.

• Good timekeeping.

• Customer orientated.

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

• Dynamic, forward thinking, and ambitious.
